The Republic of Guatemala is located within Central America. It is bordered on the north and west by Mexico, on the southeast by El Salvador and Honduras, on the northeast by Belize and the Caribbean Sea, and on the south by the Pacific Ocean. Laguna Nature Reserve is 147km west of Guatemala City, approximately two and a half hours away from the city by the pan american highway. The Lodge is situated in Lake Atitlan National Park, in the western highland province of Solola. From Tzanjuyu dock in the lakeside town of Panajachel the municipality of Santa Cruz La Laguna is reached in 15 minutes by boat for Q10 each way. Boats leave regularly for San Pedro or Santa Cruz and pass the  private dock of Laguna Lodge and Laguna Nature Reserve. The boats stop at the dock when asked and regularly travel back and forth.
